what would you pay for logs for firewood?

i found a guy that has 20 ft logs of oak 3 to 5 ft around that can deliver me 7 at a time on a roll back, what do you guys think its worth ? my guess that only equals a little more than a cord,
 
4x4x8 is a cord doesn't matter if it's in log form or split. Actually 4x4x8 unsplit will yield a little more than a cord once split. I would pay $50 a cord, but split "semi-seasoned" oak is only $150 so it depends were you live.
 
Hard to visualize but it's a lot more that 1 cord I'm thinking 6-7 plus it's oak..minus it big and will be harder to process into firewood. What ever number works for you is what it's worth...and if I were you I'd be dealing for it right now.

Is that the diameter or circumference? Makes a big difference... If circumference, that's certainly not 6 or 7 cords.
 
I barter with my tree guy with fish , and i stop over with beer , and i mow his lawn wash his car and rake leaves . No I Dont but I would But Al is a bad ass man to be friends with

I would pay $50 per cord for delivered logs.
 
$100 per cord of 8 foot logs delivered.
 
I paid 100 per cord of short doug fir logs delivered one year ago. 4.5 cord load. It would be cheaper per cord as the loads get bigger just due to costs for delivery going down.
 
I spoke to 2 guys today , one who processes firewood, one who logs & sells to sawmills, and the rest to guys like us.
In my area 70-90/ cord in log lengths

Sonny, you sound like my Mother (b. 1933). Every time I talk to her, she is warning, warning, like the Robot from "Lost In Space".

As my Mom was the one with the coal stoves in the 70's, I'm listening to my Momma on this one ;-)
