I just got a log length load delivered last week, and I have some wood that I cannot determine the species of. I have attached 4 different pictures, the smaller logs with the smoother bark and orangish looking patches, is very heavy and also very white and smooth when split open. It was very easy to split, just one hit with the maul split most of it. I am thinking a type of maple but I am not sure? The pictures of the larger stuff is almost impossible for me to split but the slabs that I did get off were very very wet. It is also very heavy. Thank you for the help.
