We just had a killer snow storm here in Maine and the snow is deep and heavy. I think we got like 24 to 32" of snow. I have had enough already and I need to move somewhere else lol. So because of all this snow I got the plow truck stuck like four times and it really sucks bad. I had to take a bag of the Athens pellets that I had out in the shed and throw them down on the ground to get unstuck. These things seem to work better than sand. I got out everytime except for the last time. Yes the truck is stuck in a snowbank as we speak. I am tired of shoveling so I left the truck right where it is and am now sitting in front of my P68 enjoying the heat.
I must have alot of pellets left to do what I just did.

Haha I hear ya man. I was out all morning snow blowing the driveway, shoveling off the roof and making pathways to the different doors. I hope this is the last storm, I can't take much more!
I guess those Athens Pellets are good for something! (I've heard they are horrible, no first hand experience though)

Wow,
I was complaining about the 6" we got here. Don't think I could handle 24 to 30 inch of it.
Leave the truck there, It will not need any pellets to get it out in a few weeks when all this stuff is gone!

i feel your pain as we got socked once again now at 225" for the season. I also got the plow truck stuck (in the ditch 3' deep) and then my 4x4 pickup right next to it. Called in AAA and they got them both out. My driveway is 1450' gravel uphill and when the wind blows....... Never tried pellets but a bag of readymix concrete will work as nothing else will.

I did the same thing today. I brought my 4' x 4' mud truck down to pull out the plow truck and got that stuck too. Boy was I mad! I managed to get them both out with pellets and a shovel but the plow truck will be stuck until I get more energy and it wont be today.

My brother in law has been throwing his ashes on his driveway for traction for the last few years and swears by it, I havent tried it yet.

Way too much snow! Ash is very good for traction on anything solid and slippery. I am saving my ash for use in the garden to keep the slugs away. So far only 2 pails of ash after burning 3 tons.
Tried some old carpet several years ago. That worked for my situation. Now no longer able to dig, pull etc. so I use my cell phone to get myself out of messes. Florida is looking better every day, but don't think I can stand the flat land and the traffic.

killer storm....lol.....move to where i am. thats a dusting. i have to assume thats a womans truck, and not a chevy
