Pellet venting help in basement

I recently have bought a Summers heat pellet stove rated at 1500sf for my finished basement. I have selected a perfect place for it in a bumped out portion in the basement underneath the 1st floor family room in one of the corners, and had a question concerning venting. I was wondering if I could frame a chase that the vent and outside air pipes would travel in from floor to ceiling in the selected corner. The chase would keep in consideration clearance requirements and such as stated in the owners manual. I really am looking for a professional finished look so I dont have to see a visable vent pipe and combustion air pipe. This brings on the next question....if the chase is doable, would the pellet vent be appropriate terminating out the "band board" which would give approximately 18-20 inches of ground clearance. This venting termination would not be under a window. Any and all help would be appreciated for all of those with experience in pellet venting. Thanks alot for all that can help

I would not recommend closing up the vent pipe inside a chase.

You need access to the Tee cap for cleaning and if you have any
leaks in the joints, you would want to know.

I`d have to think the exhaust vent would have to be readily (immediate) accessible by state fire code.
I`m not sure about the outside air supply.

I have no clue, but I don't see how it would be any less accessible than a pipe that someone runs through the attic. And it could be built so that a side of the chase was removable for cleaning and inspection.
 
I agree with Tink......dont like the idea of enclosing the pipe in a combustible chase......heat dissipation would be hindered, and I'd be concerned the heat buildup could be severe.
 
Thanks for all the help in this. Some more information about the chase. It would be angled in a corner,run all the way to the ceiling, and completely open at the top(although framed and drywalled) to the entire void area in the finished ceiling for heat dispursement. I would the make a cosmetic panel that could be removed for inspection, cleaning ect. just wanted to add some more info before this would be in the plans. Does anyone have any better options?? Thanks again
 
got my vent boxed in where it passes thru an upstairs closet before entering the attic
no probs with my setup
just keep your clearances from combustibles to code
mines installed on first floor of two story with vertical thru roof

hey, burn, did you insualte around the pipe with non-combustible insulation where it goes into the attic or the cellar, or between floors? Just curious.
