I'd like to know what brand of pellets he purposes to use?

I thought pellet sales.com was going to be doing the same thing and they offered some sort of collapsible storage bin, not sure if you leased it from them or you had to purchase the bin. Seemed interesting if you had room for the bin when full and the bin wasnt too far a walk from the stove.

edit: found it

I find buying $62-$72 a week easier on my wallet than buying $900-1200 at a rip for 3-4 tons and then add for delivery..more like $150-$200 more....yes its alittle more work having to carry in 10-12 bags for the week but in this economy when $$'s are tight..its much more forgiving on the wallet...and it leave ME more money to eat at the buffet with a baby spoon..:)..yeeha..CAN YOU SMEEEEEEEEEEELA...WHAT THE ROCK........IS............................................................................................................................................................................................................COOKIN..

DOH!!

MAine Enerygy Systems makes pellet boilers not pellets. They have mentioned that they are interested in buying pellets from Greennova in Berlin NH (fairly close by their headquarters in Bethel Maine), but the plant hasnt even broke ground yet. In theory they will be buying pellets from various sources and prequalifying them to make sure they run well in their boilers. Assuming they buy in volume, they will have a lot more "pull" with the pellet manufacturer as losing a steady high volume contract due to poor quality is not something a manufacturer wants to do. The pellets dont need to be bagged so that should cut the cost somewhat but that appears to be offset by the cost for custom deliveries and lots of new equipment as silos, air conveying equipment and new trucks arent cheap. Then again when there is a pellet shortage all bets are off.

A guy I know at our local Forestry School who works on alternative fuels says home delivery of pellets is very big in Europe. Who knows this might be the beginning of that.
