I seen an as on our local trading post that went like this....

Dixie No Smoke, Appox. 40" tall 18" round, Brick lined, Ash door, could use some fresh paint, will heat appox. 1000-1500 sq ft.$75.00 Cash OBO

wanted to see if anyone had any info on this stove and if it sounds like a deal? All I could find on the web was Dixie cookstoves.

Thanks

I'd contact the fellow. If it's close by, the best thing is to see it. Bring a camera, you've piqued my curiosity.

Looks like a home made stove (out of a tank of some type). There's plenty of small run companys that came and went. I have a good friend that moved too Georgia many years ago and produced W&P;(Wing and Prayer)woodstoves too suppliment his income as he made his name as a sculptor. Now with several galleries all over the country and Europe, he stopped welding up these great stoves. To bad cause they were a super nice stove. Sort of Fisher like only thicker walled.

Thanks BB. Here's the picture lightened up a bit. If the stove is in good shape, it might make a decent shop heater.
