Ready now, after some running around yesterday.

Brought in the last of the oak, should last a couple days.
Battery in cell phone charged, plenty of food/beer/dog chow and treats for the pups.

Bring it on!!

It just rolled in here ten minutes ago headed up the coast.

Sunny and 14 degrees today, sunny 21 tomorrow , sunny 37 tuesday! Cold here every day, it was -12 last Monday morning.

Yes, we are getting ready for a major snow storm. We haven't had too much snow on LI in many years from what I recall and this year has been the exception for cold weather and snow in my opinion. Typically, the end of any kind of cooler weather ends no later than the second week of April. We will see. I like warm weather, but the stove has made the cold weather very enjoyable.

Birmingham Alabama got 3"-4" of snow today. Can Al Gore explain this global warming?

At the moment in Northern Virginia the big flakes are falling fast. Guesstimates at the moment are that it will be eight to eleven inches. Your Federal Government may not be able to cause as much trouble as usual tomorrow because they won't be able to get to "work".

In Wisconsin we are at about 12 degrees. Have the insert cooking right now. I actually hauled more wood up to the house today. Gotta be getting close to the end!!!

I was hoping teens and single digits were done here but Monday and Tuesday night are supposed to be down around 13 again.

looks like we are right in the heavy snow path (south central CT). calling for about 8-15" where i am. should be starting any time.

I'm an hour South of Atlanta and we had about 7" accumulation and probably over a foot fell. Add that on to the 5" we got on Friday and Saturday and we're water logged! Supposed to get down to 26* tonight which will make things interesting in the a.m. We're not equipped to handle ice and snow down here so we'll just stay in tomorrow probably. It snowed another 2 hours after this was taken. Hopefully it's done now.

here in western mass we never get "the big one" either boston will get it or the bershires get but in the valley we never see more than 10 inches in a snow storm... most of the time every blue moon we'll get more but nothing like what everyone else gets

Ha, the global warming alamists will find some way to blame it their agenda.

It ain't over 'til it's over. Was -30C this morning. Warmed up enough this afternoon to buck a couple of cords.

Lows in the single digits and highs in the low 20`s for the next few days. I still have a cord in the wood shed. But I`m looking forward to shorts and a T-shirt. Won`t be long. Not looking forward to 90`s and humidity, thats a real drag when cutting fire wood. :)

At least the ground is frozen and I don`t have to worry about muddy puppy feet. I actually like winter. Its quiet and peaceful.

I've already got about 3" or so on the ground over here. I've got a fine, heavy snow falling. When this is all done I will probably end up with 8"-10".

I've got 10"+ of the powdery fluffy stuff, and more coming. Not plowed yet, but I have extreme faith. The local town plowing contractor is my next door neighbor  Restaurant gift certificates come in handy !!!

Taking the puppy outside was fun this morning. I have to go back out and shovel him a little area as well as clean off the wood on the deck. I'll get pics later without my boost baffle lense on (last line typed just for Hogs ;-) )

Amazing how some areas think this is nothing, while we get paralyzed by this. I was shoveling off the deck, and said to myself "Crikey, haven't shoveled this much snow in years!!!", or something poetically similar %-P

Reference the global warming, ironically there is a GW summit today in D.C......and they are expecting 6" of snow %-P It is 2 degrees here this morn........can't remember it being this cold on March 2nd in a long time.........

actually got very little- i don't think we had 4 inches here at 6 am. Now it's snowing heavy, we'll see
what we end up with.

I'm at about 8"-10" with steady snow still falling.

we got about 8"

12 inches here and snowing hard again looks like around 15 inches total all said and done stove is crusing perfect house is 80 degress.

Argus-I have a buddy on the bayshore in Monmouth County and he said you guys are getting slammed! Here in the Northwest we usually get the worst of it but I measured about 7" when I went out to start shoveling at 8:00 AM. It's still coming down steady though. My poor Englander add-on is sitting in the basement, currently chimneyless...I'll be ready for next year though.

I took the day off from work, and Plan on venturing outside for round one of snow removal. I can't tell how much snow the drifts Are insane. For instance 3ft high woodpile, one side the snow is almost level with the top, but the other side only has a few inches, And the peak of my roof has grown in height almost a foot, but I have no snow down by the eaves, just the way the wind blows I guess
