I have a Breckwell P24i inserted into a masonry fireplace with pellet pipe running to the top of the chimney. The unit has been working great. I bought it in fall 2008 and have burned almost 4 tons of pellets this winter. I recently noticed one oddity that I'm wondering about. On the bottom right underneath the front of the unit, I can see a small reflection of the flame where the stove sits on the masonry platform. I have to get down on the floor and the room must be dark to see it. It's barely noticable, but it is there -- a bit of flickering light -- just a pinprick -- coming from the fire which reflects onto the floor. I don't smell smoke in the room, and the stove appears to be working properly. Is this normal? I'm assuming that there must be a tiny hold in a weld someplace underneath, but I'm surprised that I don't smell smoke.

If it is like my P23i, I believe that the hole you see is supposed to be filled with a leveling leg. I had the exact issue with mine when installed. I bet you have one on the left too.
I put a carraige bolt on each side of mine.

I have the p23i as well and there are two holes on the bottom for the legs. I am actually using the legs and these are the holes they are inserted into. Not sure it's the same on the p24 but possibly.

It is the holes for leveling bolts. They should have something in them. Use silicone or a nut and bolt.

I did not install this stove, but the manual shows the leveling bolts at the back of the unit, on the left and right. These holes appear closer to the front. I did not mention in my previous post, but there *are* two of them, so they obviously exist for a reason. There is one hole on the left and one on the right. Both are directly under the side glass windows near the front/side corners of the unit. They don't appear to be located in the same place as the location show in the manual for the leveling bolts.

There are four holes total. Two in back and two in front. The two in back are for the rear leveling bolts included with the stove. The two in front are for the front leveling legs (not bolts) which are sold separately.

Figure 18 in your manual should show the location of the "leveling legs" where you describe the holes.

I used 5/16" carrage bolts/nuts.
