The stove is clean - very clean. I get the 5 blink signal. After restarting the stove and clearing out the unburned pellets from the burn pot the pellets and the burn pot are cold. I think its the igniter.

How do I replace it ? The stove is a year old so I would think its covered but my dealer is probably two weeks to come out. Can I replace this myself ?

Thanks in advance.

dealer replaced mine after 1 year removed back panel of stove. right under burn pot is 2 screws remove
he than pulled out ignitor and guided the wires from the back of stove. it is in a holder had to bend a metal
tab to remove, after install took a few times before it lit. love my stove but i would think they
would last longer than they do.

Thanks for all the help.

I replaced it on my own using the good sense God gave me. If anyone needs help replacing thiers let me know and I'll tell you how. Otherwise have a nice day and thanks again for all the help ! Sheesh !

My ignitor just went poof this past week.
What a PIA to start manually when I am so spoiled with an ignitor ;-)
Guess I cannot complain though, it lasted about 2 yrs.

My stove is still under warranty but part is on backorder and none of my
local dealers have them in stock. Guess it is a hot item (no pun intended)

nah...pretty common item, Tink....ordered 15 a week ago, got them yesterday.

Dumb question...
Is the ignitor a universal part between the different Harman models?

Meaning-same part number?

That it is, Tink, yes, same number

The PC-45 model instructions are a little different. I think the igniter on the PC-45 is different altogether.

yea, Codebum is right.....sold somewhere near a thousand stoves or so, onle one PC45...it does have a different igniter and installation sequence....sorry, tink!

That's ok....was curious about the pellet models anyway.
WHEN I get hold of an ignitor, I think I am gonna get two of them.

Hmmm....a buddy of mine is using his woodburner instead of using his Advance,
wonder if he would notice his ignitor missing..jk :p

with your luck, you'd probably snag the ignitor, only to have it fail days later!
