The US Stove is a pretty basic stove (no tstat, no auto ignite)
NOISE: the stove in general is pretty loud; the air coming through the top of the stove sounds like a turbine hissing and the auger motor is clearly heard when it turns on and off (not overly loud, just obviously heard); there is not much room in the burn pot for the agitator so if you don’t scrape it regularly the agitator will hang up on the burn pot, lift it and then allow it to bang back down (cleaning issue not stove problem);

APPEARANCE: you can get it with a trim package but mine is plain, flat black; looks good in a rustic living room but probably not great in a formal area

The stove puts out a good amount of heat; currently in an addition that is 24x36 separted into 3 rooms with 10’ ceilings

One side note is that the stove is advertised as a 60 lbs hopper but only one bag will fit, maybe all my bags are 60 instead of 40 lbs!!!!!

Overall, I think the stove would be better in an area that you don’t spend a lot of time in due to the overall noise

$1200 paid, I am a little concerned that I already have a few problems not yet through one burning season but for the money not bad
 
I have a friend that has the very same stove. he claims it does not heat his 1900 sq ft house at all. It is a basic stove, i installed it for him and he does not like the stove at all. They are alot of work, there are way to many buttons and settings and trying to get just the right combo would drive me insane. I told him to try burning corn next season and i think he may. I do think it's an okay entry level stove but for convience er ahh NO. It is not a user friendly stove but once you master the controls it seems to work just fine. Your also right about the hopper it hold just over 40lbs and the pellets hang up in the hopper so he removed the grate inside.
 
I have the 6039i and well, I love it. I have seen a feww quadrafires and an enviro run and for the money I think my stove has done pretty well. I'm at the 3 ton mark for the year and so far so good.(I'm rubbing a lignetic pellet right now for good luck!) no issues with the agitator, I clean it once a week and it takes about 15 minutes. It may be slightly louder than my buddys quadrafire, but its tolerable. Yea I hear the auger make some noise occasionally and I do wish it had an igniter to save on pellets, but I paid less than half than others paid for their stoves. Bottom line was it kept my 1300 ft. home roasty warm for less than $900 in fuel costs this winter, didn't let me down, burned every pellet I could find, lignetics, rocky mountains, freedom fuels, barefoots, penningtons, propellets, and some corn too. Next year I will add the thermostat that won't shut it off but will bring it down to an idle setting to save more pellets and hope I will get another good year out of it. I know I'll get slammed by someone for its lack of technology or lineage if you will, but when I see it burnin I'm smilin !!

I`m always amazed at how wide the opinions of pellet stoves vary. Like most other things I guess.
I also participate in a photography forum on line where camera brands and model superiority are debated constantly but the fact remains that even the cheapest and lower rated ones can and do produce quality saleable pictures when used by people who know how to get the most from them. The proof is in the pictures.
Seems it`s the same way with pellet stoves.
 
I have a 6039 and I love it. It may be plain but the burning programs are among the most advanced in the field. I just find it is a very flexibile stove. You can adjust it to burn anything although I have stuck to pellets and corn in my first season.
 
I have one of these stoves and love it. For the $900 i paid for it I couldn't ask it to do anymore then what it has done this winter and it has been a cold long winter in Maine. I smile when i log on here and see all the people that paid $2000 + for thier stoves that will only burn a certain type of pellet and they are having all sorts of problems with them. Yeah these may be a little loud and not as high tech as some but they all do the same thing. Heat your home! I am glad with my purchase!
 
Seems like I have generally read good things about this stove, and I happen to think it's a good looking stove. I bet there is not one model of pellet stove that has a perfect reputation. On this forum, you will read about "real" problems, and operator problems. You will see stove owners expectations that are sometimes maybe unreasonable, and the stove blamed for not meeting those expectations. If your stove is heating your house, be happy. Sure all the automatic stuff is convenient, but it is more things to go wrong.
