Does anyone use the log set for the Accentra? It was suggested not to use one making the stove less efficient. Any suggestions? Whats your opinion? Thanks Tony

I own an Advance and my wife wanted the log set so we purchased one. I don't believe that it affected the efficiency of our stove but it did make routine cleaning more of a PITA. I "lost" them after about a month.

If its harder to do, folks wont do it, and it wont get done, and carbon will build up in the burnpot, eventually to the point that the stove needs service, and you get a visit from your friendly stove outfit, who can charge you for a service call.......yay

I bought one for my st. croix and it did make the stove burn some what colder and a pain when it came to clean. l lost mine also, will find them in the summer.
Used mine for the first month. After making it harder to clean and my wife constantly talking about those deer antlers in the stove I removed them. They have been sitting in our basement for four years now.

I agree. I had a dealer tell me that the log set was no longer available for the Accentra.

Mine have been in since the purchase of the stove, I did have a set for my old Whitfield, but never used them, the owners manual for the Whitfield said not to use them if burning on the third setting or higher... Now back to my Harman, I agree they make it harder to clean, but I place them in my coal bucket, and that collects the ash from them... Plus I like the look of them in, versus out
