Looks like I'm about half done with the splitting (I work slow). Then comes the stacking.

Nice work i wish i could work as slow as you!

Looks like you have a leg up on me. I should have my pile split already but I do not. Good thing all my oak was split last summer. I'll be getting to the pile soon enough I suppose...

Looks great! I'll stop by this weekend to pick up a load! :)

Hey rdust, that would be a long haul! lol

If you look at the last picture, on the left hand side, looking through the brush you can see one of our other wood piles (I just saw that). That wood will be much drier, but we have a man eating guard dog on duty full time.

Wow, that's some hefty pile of wood. I've only got about a cord split so far. I got side tracked by having to dig up my septic but, I'll be back to splitting soon. Thanks for the inspirational pics.

Great pictures Savage, looks like a nice place to work on the pile. When the sun is shining strong I'd have a hard time not napping on the job in a cozy spot like that! ;-)

Well, I can only work for short periods of time, but I'll get it done sooner or later.

You are right Inferno, sometimes it is nice to just stop and rest there in the sun. Yesterday the wind was coming from the side where the wood is stacked so I didn't feel it. It got nice and warm in the sun.
