Changing Vent

When we got our Pellet Stove installed 5 years ago we did direct vent due to time and budget. I now want to change this, now all I currently need to do is ad a run up the side of the house from the pipe going out through the wall.

However, for aesthetics I want to put stone on the wall behind the stove for a hearth feel. I would like the pipe to go straight up through my ceiling (attic is over us).

Now if possible I would like to avoid going straight up-through the ceiling then through the attic and through the roof.

Can I go up to the attic, and do a 45 or 90 turn to go out side the side of the house of the attic the straight up. So far I have not discovered any code issues as I talked to my township.

I am more interested in any venting issues. The bend/turn would require a good 2-3 feet before reaching outside and venting up again.

It sounds like with all the vertical run you will have, 3 foot of horizontal should not be a problem. Just keep in mind ways to keep it easy to clean. The horizontal section is where much of the ash will just lay and collect.

So it would be better to do a 45 degree turn and slope up and then 45 and up for a more direct flow for cleaning?
