Marth Pellets??

I have had 3 different type of bags with the marth so witch ones are the best ?? the last ones I got was the brown bag with the white WI.state pichure on them how do you guys like the Marth pellets made in Marthon WI.???
Thanks for any info.I have a ST. Croix Afton Bay.

I had the brown bag marth earlier this season, the worst of the three brands I burned this year.
 
I hated them, and will not ever buy them again.

In the past, I bought Marth in the white bags and found them to be above average, but when I bought the brown bagged units, they were a nightmare to get through.
 
Are they realy that bad whath didn;t you guys like about them???

burn dirty, lot of fines, seemed to burn not as hot. just my 2 cents
 
A guy I work with has burned Marth for the last several years and liked them. Well he bought 3 tons last fall and said they were the worst pellet he has burned. They must have changed their contents last year............
 
Marth buys any and whatever sawdust - chips - saw tailing - and shredded wood material that they can find and stuff in an old box truck to get to their plant -- from all over Wisconsin

Some say: The pellets vary from day to day -- ton to ton - bag to bag
 
We had good luck in our showroom buying from Home Depot, brown bag stuff. A customer of mine got a ton of the pennywise (white bag with green lettering, made by marth) from Menards and its burning pretty nasty. Lots of black carbon stuck all over the burn pot.
 
I burned over three tons of Marth (brown bag) this season, along with a ton of another brand and scattered bags of others. The Marth burned the best by far. Consistent and clean. My only complaint was the amount of fines in the bag, but I got used to dealing with it. I bought two tons last summer and the rest within the past six weeks. All good.
 
The softwood pellets are OK from my experience but the hardwoods are very dirty.
