I think $259 for the lignetics or hamers would about the best your going to do this year.....if i could find them for that here, I'd jump on them.....just my 2 cents

Hamers are my favorite, But I really don't need 3 tons as the winters aren't as cold as yours....I just may have to bite the bullet and get 3 tons, I wish I had a family member with a pellet stove....

Hey, you can always keep them for next year....I don't see the price going down

I agree with macman, If I could get them for $259/ton. I would be making room for the extra ton.

Hammers would be my choice. Turman is 2nd and Ligs would be 3rd. All 3 are very close though! Can't comment on the O'Malleys.

Omalley Pellets are worth the $259 a ton.
They are a premium hardwood and burn
good and hot with little ash and almost
zero fines in the bag. Been burning them
daily for about a week now. If you only
need two tons I'd get those.

raven, buy the 3 tons and ship the uneeded ton to me, I'll be happy to burn them for you, no shipping charge though...LOL

If Zeta has burned them, and likes them, then for the cheaper price, I'd go for the O'Malleys. I trust her judgement.

Jtake, Those are my 3 choices in that same order. I have used the Omalleys before and really like them, But for some reason the Hamers burn the best in my stove, And Geek if I have any leftovers I'm going to sell them from my driveway at 7.00 per bag....lol

Raven20: How many tons/bags do you think you need to get through next year?

I might be able to meet you at a neutral location and take a partial ton. I am hoping to see better prices in my area though.

Zeta, how much did they charge you for delivery of the O'Malley pellets, I bought barefoot last year from the South Shore dealer in Holbrook, liked them but the price for O'malley's is very tempting. How do you think they compare with barefoot.

Here's an article on O'Malleys I read in Timberline just last night. Sounds like they got their sheet together and are producing a good product.

I am unable to get to the article. I think there might be a missing article ID.

[EDIT] OK, I see it is the 3rd article down from their home page.

missrobo I roughed it and got them myself with
the help of one of my girlfriends and her Tundra. :coolsmirk:

It's been awhile since I've burned barefoots so I can't
really do a comparison but they both burn good in
my stove with little ash and very little fines in the bags.

I saved my $250 a ton pellets for next winter, oil was just too cheap compared to what pellets went too.

Thanks for the info, may try a ton with my order for next season

Code, I'm thinking a ton and a Half shoud do me for the winter, So if we buy 3 ton @777.00 plus 50.00 delivery charge, That works out to be 5.51 per bag, That's a savings of 79 cents per bag or 58.50 per ton and a half, PM if your interested.....Thanks

Raven20: Sorry for the delay, I left Thursday after work for a mini vacation. I just got back yesterday. Hauling would be my biggest problem. I have a Chevy Tahoe. That's why I was thinking only a partial ton. I'll PM you to confirm the area you are in.

I might stick to local purchase unless you still need to unload a half of a ton.

Raven, where are you purchasing for 259/ton?

Is it Courtland?

Yes, In White Marsh.....
