How Flex is made

Just to show you guys how we make parts.. here are some pics of my toys. The first pic is of my new flex machine, I have two other machines in another part of the shop... Followed by a Turret and our new Amada Press brake with 3d controls. Last picture is our laser, I can custom make parts if any of you guys need something special. If you guys have any questions feel free to hit me up. I have set this company up to make a very good product by using the best machines in the country.

Since I took over the operation two years ago we have really leaned up. Our Turret which is a punching machine is 2 years old, our laser is 1year old, and the 3d press brake and flex machine are brand new. I also have two other flex machines as well as 3 other brakes and 14 strong willed employees. My goal is service in our industry and while you hear about some companies backorder items for weeks upon weeks items from my facility if they are a stock item leave within 3 days and most items leave same day. My opinion is why save 10% if you have to provide OT at a jobsite or if your self installing miss a planned weekend that you've prepped for only to have to do the job on another weekend.

That was probably when the operation was being ran in Canada- Most of the operations have now been moved to the U.S.

I received a PM about hearing and eye protection - I guess they saw the laser operator not wearing any. The laser does not require eye or hearing protection, the punch operator does use ear muffs. All of the employees must wear gloves when handling sheetmetal and are counseled if they do not. We do not have many problems with Work comp and our retention rate with our employees is in the high 90's with 50% of them working here for more then 5 years 30% more then 2 years and 20% more then 8 months. After seeing this thread I ordered a couple of liners. The liners showed up about 2 days after ordering and I have to say I'm very pleased with not only the service, but even more so, the quality of the SS liners themselves! The crimps and overall appearance of these liners is second to none, we're talking work of art quality. I won't be able to test them out until next season, but based on what I've seen so far, I very much recommend Magnaflex liners!

Thanks Wet1, I strive to be very competitive in the marketplace and with the acquisition of Ventinox by Duravent I think we will see a big change in their quality. If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to ask.
