Hello Everyone!

I am in the market for a wood stove insert and I am looking in the Pacific Energy Summit ( the one suited for 3000SF) and as was quoted as follows:

1-Stove and accessories (black door, and oversize trim) $2,299.00
2-To insulate the existing liner with thermix $250
3-Installation of the stove $350.
4-Plus incidental parts (Hearth extender and 6" 45degree connector) $160
5-Tax and shipping $314.16

Grand total $3,373.66

So is this a good price for the stove that I want?

Sounds like a great deal, Roberto... Hard to argue w/ any of those prices. look into your town/city's permitting / inspection requirements, too. And talk w/ your homeowners insurance co as well.

Also get your wood supply going NOW if you haven't already... Biggest mistake you can make is getting the stove first.

Good luck!

Sounds like a good deal to me as well.

+ 1 Price sounds very reasonable to me!

What are you paying tax on? I thought if you had it installed by a dealer, it's capital improvement and not taxable.

I do everything myself, but the few times I've got estimates, that's been one of the contractors selling points.

Not every state's tax laws are progressive.
