Awesome wood pile! How much is it supposed to be?

11+ cords. I just tried out my new Fiskars splitter today and I'm really impressed with it! I thought the shorter handle might take some getting used to but didn't even notice it.

What part of Michigan are you in? Are you actually in the UP or the upper lower?

Yep, West end of the U.P.

Northwind, looks like you have some work ahead of you now, eh! Looks like a nice load there.

btw, welcome to the forum. You no doubt are further west than where we lived; Gladstone area.

Here's a pic from a few days ago. Half way done....

I'd say that's a been a profitable way to spend your time!

OK , its time to pull out that hydraulic splitter you have hidden behind of whats left of your log pile.
You have been a busy boy with the saws and that fiskars axe of yours. Thanks for sharing.

Got it all stacked a few days ago. Ended up with a little over 11 cords. 10 stacked by the house and another cord on pallet's.

You've been a busy boy, looks great, now you can take the rest of the summer off.

Northwind, How could you mix those differenct color stakes. Unless they are color coded for seasoning or species, you need to take corrective action!

LOL... I'll have to change that next year. Their shorter too!! :)

Looking good. Those fence posts are great. Until you have to get one out of the ground.

How much time would it take to cut the long ones (to the appropriate size) and apply the appropriate paint!

I'll be going to the store tomorrow for hacksaw blades, paint and beer! Shouldn't take more than a 30 pack...

Throw a chain around them and pull them out with the loader bucket. A splitter in vertical mode would probably do the trick as well.

Nice job with the stacking Northwind...took a lot of elbow grease to cut, hand split an stack all that in a month.

I did split the last 4 cords with a splitter just to speed things up. Almost felt like I was cheating.
