Log load delivery

Here in the heavy logging area of Illinois ) we don't often see any logs loaded like that or any other way for that matter. Funny how some people would see that as an eyesore and we think it's beauty. Makes my little pile look like match sticks but it will have to do.
Have fun cutting and if you get bored build a log cabin you can always burn it later !

That's a real decent price. The last quote I got from a guy "up north" was 1300 for 10 cord. I thought that was too much for all the work I would have to put into it. I would go for 10 at the price you paid. Could you PM me with his contact info so I could talk to the guy?

I had the same thoughts as you, Cave. I've never seen prices as low as mentioned in this post. Down here in the "deep south" of Michigan it may not be worth driving the trucks this far for those kinds of dollars. Keep me in the loop on what you find if you don't mind....

I helped a guy who got a load here in NorthEast Wisconsin Oak and Ash $90 a full cord, 12 cords, 8 foot logs. and we thought that was an excellent price, for January.
Could you PM me with this dudes info. I would like to see what kinda price we could fenangle.
So much of it has to do with the price of fuel for these guys and how for they have to go to deliver. Probably the same guy. (Franks?)

At that price I would buy it. 1500 dollars for 4 years of heat is a deal. In Wisconsin I see it both ways but pulp trucks going to the paper mills seem to load it that way. In the horse days they seemed to load it the long way.
