The trailertruck load delivery of the Pot-O-Gold pellets arrived last Thursday, my seven ton are in the pellet shed next to the pellets left from last year.

Nice stacking job! I was very impressed with mine until I saw this picture. Plus, I need a few more tons to get up to seven......I'm still looking to try out a couple other brands.

I hope your shed is close to your house. I believe that's 14,000 lbs of wood.
I'm in Ferrisburgh, Vermont. Sitting on 4 tons. I actually got them through my local Aubuchon store. The store manager helped deliver them to my house with his own pickup. I love living here.

The shed is close to the house, I wheel in five bags at a time as needed on my two-wheel cart. Actually, a total of twelve ton is in the shed. This is what it looked like prior to adding the seven ton of Pot O Gold pellets.Vermont-XXV said:Beautiful

Not really, the floor is framed with P/T 2x4's 12" on center. The width of the shed is ten feet, twelve feet in length. The 2x4's are supported to earth with P/T blocking every three feet. I used to use pallets to stack the pellets on, 15 bags high, 3000 lbs on a pallet, around 225 lbs/sq.ft. The P/T 2x4's I used for floor joists have around 200 lb/sq. ft. placed on them I calculate. I'm sure that I may have a little sag in the floor in areas but....... its only a pellet storage shed.cncpro said:Holy hell ! That's a wood floor

Any problems storing them in the shed, mice, moisture, etc. I am thinking about moving my pellets from my finished basement to the shed.

Andrew, Id be very curious about seeing those pics, mostly of the bulk storage system. Something about lugging 8 tons into the basement through a half door just kinda well wasnt fun.

Im planning on building my own pellet shed this year too and need some ideas!

Here is a photo of the outside. The total length of the shed is 24 ft, storage for my mower and snowblower on the end. The walls are 2x4 construction with 4x8 sheets of siding, shed style roof with metal roofing. waiting for our call to see when delivery will be. how long did you wait and how much notice were you given? was it a smooth transaction?
I had to wait around 10 days. He told me he thought it would be a week or so. I knew for sure 3 days before they were delivered. It was a smooth transaction. If you are going to unload the trailer without a loading dock , you will have to use a pallet jack to get them to the rear of the trailer, using a fork lift to get them onto the ground. The truck driver I had helped get them to the rear of the trailer so my son using the fork lift could get them off the truck. We had the 22 ton unloaded from the trailer in 39 min, the driver was happy.jsvo said:
