They dont have the whole article on their web site , but Jeremiah Graham of Evergreen Home Solutions in Ellsworth was quoted as saying "there will always be those who hoard pellets in fear of supply problems and rising prices. hoarders refer to themselves as pellet pigs and boast of their activities on the hearth.com web site" "They brag about it!"........(page A6 Wed. paper)........thought it was funny for him to be bashing pellet pigs.....

fame and infamy, whats the difference? i think he's jealous.

Imagine that, speaking of hoarding like it was a bad thing...???

I consider it a "badge of honor"....we've made the big time!!!! OINK OINK :cheese:

I think it's time for Web to design a new t-shirt.........Hearth.com official home of the pellet pigs!!

You pigs are famous now! You should be proud of yourselfs too!

What about getting some new pig members?

We all want to be pigs too ya know!

Got my 3 tons ready and browsing for the fourth.

I like the T-shirt Idea. Let me know where to get one!

jay

We could get a free t-shirt & printed with our logo free. Muss

I work with Jeremiah at Evergreen. The comment was not a complaint. Especially if you "pigs" buy your pellets from us.
I think the tee shirt idea is a good one. Maybe a bumper sticker too.

someone needs to be quick and get "trademark" rights to the phrase before some non-pig does and cashes in on all your hard work and dedication. Pellet Pig Unite!! Pellet Pigs......fighting oppression and injustice across the land.....riding fearlessly into great pellet unknown. Armed only with trusty clinker scraping tool and an abundance of wits, they make it safe for the rest.........<Delta-T, hard at work designing promotional Pellet Pig comic book/graphic novel for next HPBA show>.

question: Pellet pigs more likely to wear leather or tights?

That's funny - you guys have officially coined a term!

Maybe someone on the forum that has a Wikipedia account can add "Pellet Pig" and a definition....with input from the members of the pellet pigs on this forum.

Think eernest4, the Pellet Pigs Grand Poobah, will add his original defintion???

"hording 4 ton 5 ton and 8 ton stashes"

This is too funny

Nice start Jim.....it can be refined. I really like the fact that the pigs are all having a beer.....Eric at Kinsman would approve of that too, I'm sure....

Hey guys if you can see me now I am blushing and have a tear forming on the inside of my right eye. All we need now is a Wiki and some a Webster's entry.

Eric

I know right where this place is I used to go right by it on my way to Pittsfield. They used to have huge stacks of Burch logs. Guys I use to work with would get 2 or 3 truck loads at a time of scrap from the manufacturing proses to burn in the shop wood stove. Looks like that ended.
