Your wife is a party pooper. When I get a bird in my coffee roaster, I turn on the fan which blows air through the stack, and the
bird pops out the top. Maybe a shop vac on reverse would provide some encouragement to the bird. It doesn't fly out with the
door to the stove open?

One in the hand is worth two in the stove.

That's a non-cat stove, isn't it? You should put in a cat.

Got the little bugger, I opened the door and put a big garbage bag around the opening and waited and it flew into the bag.

I had a bird in our other chimney last year. he had gone to the bottom and couldn't make it out - could hear the wings flapping against the liner. I went out and opening the clean-out.......there he was. he came busting out of there and landing in a bush, probably trying to get his barrings again, when a falcon that was up in the pine trees apparently waiting for it, came crashing down and snatched it right outta the bush!!!

wife didn't believe it.........was pretty darn funny!

i have a dead bird now in my stove... i was going to just wait and if it smelled i will fire it up!!

in fact i might have 2 dead birds in there. my dog loved it... every so often the bird would flap and she would go beserk
