HI There!

Wondering if you have any ideas on where I can order about 4 tons of pellets. I checked pelletsdirect.com and pelletsales.com and am not sure whether I should order from them again.

Last year Pelletsales.com sent us a delivery with about 20 plus bags that were damaged. They did give us a credit, but seems like this happens to a lot of their deliveries?

My choices from these two places are:

Lignetics
Appling County
Eco Flame SUper PRemium
Instant Heat
Cleanfire - which we didn't care for last year
New England Wood Pellet
Granules LG

Any of these better than the other or are there other places to order from that will deliver?

Thanks so much.

I ordered from PelletsDirect and delivered they promptly this year. I know they had issues last year, but they came through this time for me.
Since they pallets are loaded/unloaded with a forklift, damages will also occur. As long as the company credits you or replaces the bags, it's not a big deal.

As for pellets, I've had good luck with Lignetics, LG Granules, and NEWP, although I still prefer Barefoots.

out of what you listed i'd go (were it me) with the lignetics or NEWP, okanagan is getting good reviews as well ,may be available in your area. though not on your list.

I used this place last year but their prices are above average now so I used Pelletsales. Pelletsales' delivery pricing is especially attractive compared to the other guys who charged $25/ton IIRC...

I got mine delivered to central mass from acton wood pellets (give them a call, I found a sale price on craigs list). I checked out the business and they were a store front that had sold pellets for years and was expanding to harman stoves. they were running a special on okanagan's the week of july 4'th. Delivery was great - they hand trucked it into the garage several days later.

$259/ton was the sale price. I got 4 pallets, 1.3 tons each and paid a $35 flat rate delivery (20-25 miles).

went with PelletsDirect last year... was my first year was considering them again this year. They did damage a couple of bags when unloading them, for which they wanted to credit my account. I requested a reimbursement for it. They did oblige and cut me a check for the damage bags.

Now I wasn't overly excited about the pellets I got - InstaHeat. When I called to place the order they pushed them as just as good as the other brands. I don't know if it was how PelletsDirect handled the pellets themselves or just the mfg process of the pellets,as there were tons of fines.

This year I was going to go with the Acton Pellets location; as their prices were better for my location. I then opted to go with the new startup in Fitchburg... hopefully all will go well with those pellets from there.

I do business with these people. They have the best prices around...great selection of pellets...and a very reasonable delivery charge. Have yet to see their new store....have been dealing with them at the gas station!
but they have already delivered 3 tons to me...so I should be all set this year!

good to know SparkyDog... I drove by their operations when it was just at the Gas station earlier this summer. I plan on stopping by sometime later just to check it out now, even though I'm most likely all set for pellets this year.
