I received a coupon in the mail from Tractor Supply. The header states "Save $20 Per Ton, $10 per ton in volume discount and $10 per ton with this card August 6-20" So this is actually $10 off the ton price. My local store is selling Somersets at $249(which I have been happy with in past seasons) and the store 20 miles away (near work) has Lignetics at $265. If you didn't get a coupon, it wouldn't hurt to ask about it. Could pay for gas when picking up.

I called my local TSC in Troy, they did not know what pellets they had available but were priced at $237.50. With the coupon would bring it down to $217.50. Earlier this summer they told me they would go up. Just the opposite has happend and then they give out the coupon on top of it.

Just talked to the local TSC and they are $224.50 - the $20.00 coupon = $204.50/TON Somerset Brand

I was in the TSC in Scarborough, Maine today and saw a "manager's special" price of $237.50. But the funny thing is that the manager didn't know what brand he was selling. The display ton out front was completely wrapped in white plastic so you couldn't see the individual bags. He "thought" they were from Maine but said he gets deliveries "from a dozen vendors" and couldn't say what you'd get until you could come in for the pellets. But he was sure they were "premium" pellets.

The guy was OK but it shows you how a lot of retailers don't see any difference between pellet suppliers. Sort of a Mystery Meat approach to ground wood.

The TSC in Augusta had Rocky Mountain, Maine choice and Maine woods pellets. I took in my coupon, signed up for a credit card which made it good for another 10% off and bought 4 tons of Maine Choice pellets for $215 a ton! Better than the deal I got at Lowes last week.

That looks like a really good price. I'm in Massachusetts and pellets are going for more here. The most recent Rocky Mountain price I've seen was $285.

Just talked with TSC in Coventry, RI today. They have four brands available - still waiting for a return call to determine which brands. They person stated all are $269.50/ton. Not sure what to do yet as I have two tons in the basement and probably will need a third although pellets are not my primary heating source.

Just checked out my local TSC and the posted price for Maine Choice is $269 a ton and with the discount for 1 ton and the manager special it's $249 a ton.
It's my first year burning pellets and from what I read here the Maine Choice appear to be a good pellet.
Very close to buying and transporting them home myself a little at a time with my little tow behind trailer, just need to decide wether I should take Tylenol or Ibuprofen :)

Local Tractor Supply by me (Chester, NY) quoted $275/ton for Premier Pellets (that's down $14 from one month ago).....I already used my coupon last month, so I won't be buying any.

Here in south jersey our tractor supply is $289 a ton i'll be hitting mY bottle of Wild Turkey 101 or picking up a bottle of Rare Bread to kill the pain of the purchase of my 3 ton,
