Pellet prices down a bit @ Lowes...

For what brand? Lowe's in Epping NH has Green Team, $5.76 bag I think.

I saw them. Lowes in Biddeford has them too at that price.

Just last week the Maine Choice at Lowe's were $5.98 a bag or $299 a ton, maybe prices are dropping or are they trying to compete with Home Depot who has Fireside Ultra's for $269 a ton. You be the judge!

Considering the price of oil.....I'd like to see them for a little bit anyways settle at about 220-230

Why hassle with pellets when oil is cheaper and easier... It's good to have an option.

I saw that one... seems like a good deal in this market. I have a trailer to pick them up so no charge for delivery. This may be the deal I bite on.

I'de say give it a month or two when the leaves start turning, and even if the price of oil is the same pellet prices could rise, as that is when people start thinking about heat again. Instead of wishing there was some outside like this "summer".
I already got mine, 6 tons of MWP at 253/ton delivered.

This ad is still on CL but they are down to $260/ton which works out to $5.20/bag

I sure hope you're right...the people in the NE could use a break on heating costs.

Thats exactly my thinking lately. I have 2 tons in the basement. I'll get oil....and i will burn oil if the pellets keep on the high side.

I just noticed that Pelletsales.com pulled their prices back to where they were a few months ago. They had raised prices to $295/ton but knocked them back to $279 &$ 285 last week. And they have free delivery now. It was $40.

If they go any lower, they're going to have to start sending out reimbursements for the difference in price for people who bought at the $285 and $295 level under their price guaranty. But for some reason I can't seem to find the price guaranty on their website any more. Wasn't it fairly prominently displayed before?

They dropped the delivery charge on all orders including truckloads. I believe they have a 2 pallet minimum and they are selling the 1.6 ton pallets in my area.

Just spoke to Lowe's here in Newburgh, NY.

They have 20+ tons of Green Team and Clean Energy pellets. You get the "Contractors Sales Discount" if you buy 50 bags (ton) or more, which is $5.21/ bag or $260.50/ton (regular price was $5.79/bag or $289.50).

Anyone ever heard of "Clean Energy" pellets? The guy at Lowes said they are Premium Hardwood.

I've heard of Clean energy but never burned them. Green Team however....I burned about 20 bags a couple years ago or so and they were not a good pellet. Unless they have changed their formula I would not buy them again. It may have just been the lot.

Lowes here is selling Maine Choice....I bought 30 bags(5.38 a bag) to try as I heard they were pretty good.

I think this way as well. I'm hearing people are locking in oil plans at under $1.80/gal. That could mean oil is expected to stay under $2.00? Pellets sellers may have to come down to compete, or get stuck with them?

Must be nice.....the cheapest I can find HHO around me in the Hudson Valley area of NY is COD Oil.com at $2.219 for 200-299 Gal.

Screwed again in NYS

Or ship them to Europe?
