I feel it is getting to be that time of year again. As in the past we are offering free samples of the Super Cedar Firestarters to all the new members of Hearth.com. Email us your ship to address ([email protected]) and they are on the way! The Super Cedar is safe for use with all wood stoves (catalytic included), fireplaces, outdoor fire pits and charcoal BBQ's. For more info see www.supercedar.com. We would also like to thank all the members for their past support.

Darn, I can't get a free sample because I am not new and because I am already a customer of yours and I have a full box ready to go in my garage waiting for winter.

Great product and easy to use and you have been a great company to work with for the past 2 years.

I bought the fire lovers package after getting my free samples. I'm set for a long time, as you only need a 1/4 to start a fire. :)

Hey kids, want some candy? :)

I'm already addicted too... Went for the jumbo box so I have plenty left over for this year and with the new stove I sincerely hope not to be relighting every day so I expect I may well have a lifetime supply (until kids get old enough to go camping).

And in case anyone is wondering - yes they can be used for top-down fires. I just built up the bottom of the fire (larger splits and kindling) then set a piece (1/4 or less) of one of these on top where it would contact a few pieces of kindling and let it rip. I just don't like all the newspaper knotting and such and don't use nearly as much kindling this way.

I still have half of my case from last year left over (I only use 1/4 of a starter at a time).

These things rock, folks! If you haven't tried them yet, snag your sample. You'll be glad you did!

Ditto, great offer, great product, long a prosperous success to you! I bought my new box during the after season sale. Keep up the great work.

Thank you to all for the nice comments. For the new members who have requested the free samples, we will ship the first 100 requests out today. Look for them by the weekend.

Email sent. Thanks Thomas!! Very appreciative....the mrs's will enjoy as well

Thanks, Thomas. That was fast. Now I have to wait until it's cold enough to try them out.

Looks like a great product for the survival kit/backpacking.

I have held out for four seasons. I may have to try these things yet. :smirk:

murky buckets!

Got mine today. They look great and from what I have learned here, I thought "What am I thinking, of course I want them." Just put my order in for a Fire Lovers Package. Should last me well past one season.
Thank you again for the generous offer.

My newspaper goes in the recycle bin to get turned into whatever it gets turned into (after I solve the Jumble, the Sudoku, and the Crossword). I don't have to tear, crush, squish, spindle, mutilate, or tie into ridiculous bows any pages of my newspaper...so I don't have to go wash all the newsprint off my hands every time I light a fire. Yes, I'm a lazy old guy. If there's an easier road, I'll take it every time. Super Cedars are right up my alley. Rick

Yeah I know how much sailors hate tying knots. But you of all people know the pleasure of setting fire to the Washington Post. And then washing your hands of it. :cheese:
