6 tons here, but I submit, a pellet pig would have to be a home-burned situtation, rather than commercial, because if so, at work, we burn 4 stoves.....ugh....now Im getting a headache!

I understand. I wasn't counting on admittance into the club, but it never hurts to ask.

I do put about 500lbs through my pellet smoker/grill per year. I know, a pittance, but tasty.

i would fall under level4 on the present form of membership, or level 2 with the revised form.

i only have room to store a little over 3 ton and i burn approx. 6 ton for the season as primary heat.my question would be titles...if 1-149 bags in considered piglet, and 8 + tons is hogzilla gold...what are the classifications for each level in between?

do pigs have a different name for each stage of growth, or piglet to pig to hog? this is to funny, i just want to know what class i am in.

Just a humble level 3 (4 plus tons). Rooting around waiting for the acorns to fall.

Mike we are up for suggestions on the names and the levels too. 1 being highest or 5 being highest.

This is more of a chat, I just want everyone to be proud of there level. Even the piglets!

What would be some names you can think of for the levels?

okay,so i have been thinking tonight... i like macmans second or revised qualifications.
how about:

lvl 1 = 1-50 bags = newborn
lvl 2 = 2-3 ton = piglet
lvl 3 = 3+ ton = rooter
lvl 4 = 4+ ton = pellet pig
lvl 5 = 5+ ton = greased pig
lvl 6 = 6+ ton = fat pig
lvl 7 = 7+ ton = hogzilla
lvl 8 = 8+ ton = hogzilla gold
22 ton tractor load = lifetime member hogzilla platinum

feel free to change any of the names i have come up with...i think this is great, chuckeled the whole time i was thinking of it and interested to see what someone else comes up with. :-/ :-/

i like this form because lvl one could be the entry lvl...where people are trying a few bags here and there of different brands to see what works best for them.

I think it's getting a little out of hand....LOL....too much for my brain to keep track of....I'm getting a headache

will be moving my 6 tons plus another 8 bags or so into my "pellet bunker" (was the muck pit under my garage many years ago) with my ranger (if I can get the thing to start, 10 years and 250k miles and it wants to lie down now)

I get to start hauling my 4 tons home on 9/12. One ton at a time with the Escape. Added to the 1 ton leftover from last year I will be at 5 total.

4 tons of Rocky Mountain
.5 ton of Fuel King
.5 ton of something else I picked up on clearance this spring.

Bruce, your gonna put a ton of pellets (or ton of anything for that matter) in a Ford Escape????? YIKES :gulp:

A whole ton in an Escape at once?? Best of luck ..

I have an SUV about the same size as the Escape and the payload is only about 1000lbs.
Most I have dared put in it at one time is 25 bags at the most, which was pushing it.
Driver and/or passengers are included in your payload wgt.

I have to agree with macman and tink!

Eek and yikes, Thats a lot a weight to haul in an escape!

Ask a friend that has a pickup-(gas money, beer and pizza works wonders). Bet he/she would even help haul them in the house too (faster your done faster ya get to the beer/pizza)!

here's a thought... you pulling a trailer?

i didnt think there was room enough in an escape even with the rear seat down...

mike

Nope, not in. I have a tailer I pull with it. But thanks for being concerned. I don't think my son would be happy if I tried to get a ton in the escape since he just turned 16 and is driving it now.

Bruce

I've got 2 tons
Piglet under new terms
Level 5 under orig post

have been a level 1 Pellet pig under new terms, but that was a year ago...

Wish I could afford 10 tons....that's what the pellet pig deep inside wants.... :bug:

Hey, y'all need to stop switching in mid-stream... :) I was told that if I got my second ton I qualified as a pellet pig. I got it, but then started calling myself a "pig in-training". I'll never qualify for full membership 'cuz my house isn't big enough to need more than 3 pallets per year. :sigh:

I had 4, down to 3 now.......do i qualify for anything?

Hemi,

You had 4 tons before 1st frost. You be a genuine pig! Welcome bro!

Haubera, your missing the point. The idea of Pellet Piggishness is that you buy way more than you'll need because you can't help yourself.

If you only need 3 tons for the winter, buy 5 tons....now THAT'S a Pellet Pig!! :)

Can we have more than one pellet pig member level?

This way we could have more pellet pigs. And we all can feel proud of our Oink Oink level.

5 levels of status. 1 being the highest. We also need to name the levels and require tonage to achieve that level. We now have HOGZILLA thanks to macman.

This is just a rough start if we can go further!

Level 1= more than 8 tons

Level 2= 5.1 to 8 tons (hogzilla)

Level 3= 3.5 to 5 tons

Level 4= 2.1 to 3.4 tons

Level 5= 1.5 to 2 tons

Please cast your vote.

Thanks
jay

Level 3! Here and accounted for SIR!!!

I take the title of Pig Pellet with honor. Had four tons delivered over the summer and know that I will need more before the winter is over. Good thing is that there is a pellet company right here in town that I can get to any Saturday morning.
