Have'nt actually burned any yet as I am a PS new-b

I only burned two types last year,
freedom fuel
fireside ultras
they all burned ok and gave me heat, ash is no big deal to my OPB I clean once a week but could go two if I had to, mostly clean when filling the hopper, once a week.
oh I also got a few bags of
blazers.

1. Golden Fire
2. Blazer

These are from two competing mills here is Oregon, both use Douglas Fir for their Premium pellets. Both burn hot and clean. I find the Golden Fire to be slightly better (a little less ash), but usually $5-10 more per ton. I have one ton of each to burn this season. Here in Oregon, burning 2 tons for the winter seems to be the norm.

Eastern Embers softwood pellets for me in eastern Canada.

kobalt, how do you like your 1200, mine runs great, easy to clean. I picked a winner, when I bought it I knew little about pellet stoves. Burning some Spruce Pointe now, they are the best so far.

Hi Sills,
I love my Quad 1200. As you said easy to clean and not a problem in the first year of use, as well as a great heater.
