40's tonight hi winds and high tueday 55 degrees In the house right now 67 and the fans just kick on!

Yep, just started one tonight for the first time. It broke 50 degrees and I was ready to have a fire...

Yes the burn is ON. With a gasifier. High winds like you and temps in the 40's. That is an impressive scrounge listing. The T stat for the gasser is set 1/2 degree on/off. Much better than the oil temp swing. When the blower comes on now it blow hot air right a way. No more of the let the frunace heat up first befor you can ge warm stuff. We are at 70 and liking it.

got the dhw going at 120 degree and the house is up to 70 backing off hard, silver maple is the main coarse

I had a small maple fire last night. 68 in the house, needed to warm her up a bit.

problem here is the hi Tuesday is 55 and the house was already 67 no chance of recovery sure it coming your way in 24/36 hrs.

Just started my first fire. Into the 40's tonight and frost warning tomorrow night. House is
at 70 degrees but it's windy and will drop without a fire. At least that's what I told myself.
Just a small fire to see if everything is working

started my stove up this mornin to take the chill out. Going good now with some mystery wood. the winds howlin about 30 mph and my wind break isnt big enuff to stop it yet.

I fired up on Saturday as I saw the weather was coming to Michigan. My wife thought I was crazy as I started the boiler while the Air Conditioner was running but now she is happy and warm while I'm at work.

I didn't get all of it charged but I should be OK till next weekend.

ive had maybe 6 fires so far, mostly in the evening. but i went and lit one this morning before work because it was 45 outside, 62 inside and high today only60... next few nights will be some of the first overnight burns with temps forecasted around freezing.

I came close a couple of times but a small electric space heater is doing fine.
Looking at the weather, maybe tonite, to help heat the upstairs.

Three "take the chill off" fires the past couple of weekend mornings. I let it die off by late morning and we're good.

Yes, the heating season has begun. We let ours go out yesterday but it was still plenty warm when we went to bed. Stove is almost cooled now but is still comfortable in the house. Still, I will no doubt build a small fire later today.

Tonight will be my first burn, Last night was still 70 in the house Wife Said NO, She didnt feel like opening windows.

C'mon, whose the boss?

Meh, me either. But at least my wife wants the stove lit MORE than I do.
Of course, I do all the work to get the wood ready.
She's just lucky I LIKE to do it.
Or else I'd probably have to anyways.

No joke, this is what she said, "The dogs will get to hot, put another blanket on." I see this is where I rank in the relationship. :)
