When it rains i have water dripping down on my insert. The top plate is sealed with silicone to the clay tile and looks OK. I think where the corrugated sleeve clamps to the top plate water is getting by. Anyone have this problem, how can i seal this? Will hi temp rtv work or is there too much heat?

Hmmm...We've found the a lot of times leaks like this are due to water getting thru the masonry.
We've proved it by dousing the outside of the chimney with a hose - avoiding the top...
You can also check to see if the mud cap is tight against the flue tile where it exits at the top...
If the leak is at the top plate/liner connection, RTV oughta work...
Good luck...

Thats the first thing i checked, i ran a hose for 15 min and it was ok. It seems to be leaking down the liner. Hi temp RTV will be ok?
