Hi, I am going to install a wood burning fireplace insert and have not found one that has every thing I would like to have in a unit. One that seemed to be very close to my wants was the Enviro Kodiak 1700. I was looking at the customer rating and reviews on this site and there was only 2 reviews on that unit. Does anybody have any thoughts or experience with Enviro, or specifically with the Kodiak 1700? Thanks, Milo

This will be our 3rd year with ours and we like it a lot. The blower is decent and not loud but I'd prefer the unit to stick out further than the 8 inches it does now.

2nd year with mine and absolutly love it! Chec my most recent post concerning the amazing warrenty service i had :)

Hi, am a dealer that sells Enviro and burns them too. I have the 1700 Free stander, and the EF3 pellet stove. I have sold and burned Quadrafire, Jotul, Vermont Castings, Lopi and Country stoves as well as Enviro. For the money, Enviro offers a fantastic stove. Mine is one year old, burns beautifully and is simple to use. I will put it in Quadrafire and LOPI company for quality, at a much better price point. If you talk cast iron, its hard to beat Jotul and VC. Enjoy yours, burn between 300-500 and it should give you years of heat.
