I just went to Lowes at lunch today. They have a pellet price of $248.00 per ton regular price. They had at least 50 pallets. They are Marth wood pellets from Michigan. I do not know if they are any good but I bought 3 bags to test. They state they are less than 1% ash with 8000 btu. The guy at lowes says this is the regular price now.

Wont really know till you burn a few tons. The price seems decent providing it doesnt kill your stove. Let us know how it works

They have the same pricing at the Killingly, CT Lowes.

A quick scan of the pallets (at least 50) they had on hand last week revealed at least 4 different brands. One was Green Supreme (pretty sure) but I don't remember the others... Looked like all brands were priced the same.

You guys in the USA have so many choices. We in Eastern Canada are not quite so lucky.

Can't you just go out back and give the pellet tree a shake ? ;-P

I will let you know how they burn. I have a multifuel pellet stove by US stoves that burns just about anything well. My englander stove will be the test. If there is too much ash you have to empty the pot every time you restart the stove. The multi stove has a pot stir which works great. I wish I had two of those.

I'm pretty sure Marth pellets come from Marathon Wi and don't have a great rep around here. What I hear is they buy fiber anywhere they can so the end product is never the same from lot to lot.

Hey Another US Stove owner that likes his stove! I've got the 6039i and love it. Mine burns most pellets well too. Not alot of us here. I haven't burned any Marth pellets yet, perhaps soon.

Think us guys with a pellet furnace cant complain no where near like the guys with other pellet stoves as far as the pellets go.I searched on here all the info I could on pennington pellets and the vast majority said they hated them junk etc...I burned em in my stove and found them to be very good low ash,no clinkers etc
Just got 4 ton of Marth pellets and hear all the same crap here about those too..Guess I'll find out soon but as long as they burn I'll deal with the ash and clinkers if I have to

I have burn two of the bags so far in my US Stoves multi stove. again this stove can burn anything. I got good heat, not too much ash for this stove. for the price these pellets seem fine for a multiburner stove. I have to waite to burn them in my Englander stove, I do not hold out great hope that they will burn in that stove as well without constant cleaning. The US stoves model I have is great. No auto start however it burns anything well. I might try switch grass pellets next. Too bad they are not more reasonalbly priced.

Switch Grass pellets are avaiable at Burn Time in Bristol Ct.

Phoenix Switch Grass Pellets by Energex 50 bags per ton $255.00 per ton

Darn, I have bought from them in the past, I was hoping you had another place to get them. At $255/ton I will burn wood pellets.

Thanks for the reply ;-)
