It's good to be back. I haven't been active on the board since last year. I look forward to talking with everyone again. It's that time of year here in Northwes CT and we've been firing our F600 for just over a week on and off. First frost this morning. This problem came about last year but I never did anything about it. Shame on me. The stove is mounted in the corner to all correct specs but the sheet rock near the closed end of the stove (opposite the door end) gets VERY hot to the touch. The taped seem is actually splitting apart. I'm going to purchase some black stove board and mount it against the wall there. What is the best way to mount it to the wall? Should there be space behind it? Will metal screws transer heat into the studs/wall? Thanks!

Ceramic spacers work well. The screws can transmit heat, but if it was my own house I wouldnt be concerned with the screws
 
You want at least a 1" air gap between the heat shield and the wall. Use something noncombustible to space it (don't worry about the screws transferring heat). Leave an air gap at the top and bottom for air to flow.
 
Space the board away from the wall, and off of the floor for the best air circ. You can cut the board to produce legs something like my crude pictorial |_|--------------|_| or just gap it from the wall and mount securely.
 
In my previous home I owned a F500 that was super hot. I bought a short, half a piece of metal airconditioning duct from Homecheapo and propped it to the side of the stove. problem solved. in the off season I put the piece of duct work in the closet out of sight.

i seen a guy on here use copper pipe with washer, that might be somthing to consider as spacers.
 
I used durock with copper spacers.
