With this weekend in the low forties in my area this has been the first week of burning. Did anybody else get their first love burn from their stove yet? Mine happened today on my right arm just above the glove. Got to tap the side of the stove as I was side loading in some oak. Sure feels good!

Still no first fire so no burns but I did manage to draw blood making kin'lin. Don't know where my head was at not wearing gloves. Put quite a gash in my index finger.

First year burner, got 3 of them already. First time my gloves were packed away somewhere, 2nd & 3rd times I was being an idiot not wearing the gloves... :D

I dunno, you guys. This is my third year burning and I haven't even come close to scorching my own flesh yet. Worst I've had is a nasty smack on the ankle from a flying wedge when splitting. Fairly major ouch, but no real damage.

Thanks, now that you mentioned it, it will probably happen to me soon.

I picked up a light burn last week, first one ever, in 3 years with the stove. Just got careless while loading and brushed the door with a bare forearm.

None this year . . . two last year . . . look identical to each other . . . about a half inch apart . . . looks like some fanged snake bit me.

Don't think I've had one for a couple of years now.

naww, no burn but a hell of a splinter!!!

True

To borrow a line from John Lennon, "I got <del>blisters</del> gashes on my fingers" :vampire:

I get one or two a year (I don't wear gloves). First one I can remember was someone put a penny on top of the stove and I grabbed it off, sometime in the middle of the previous century!

Don't need one yet this year still have the scar from last years. The inside latch on my NC-30 placed a nice perfect circle tatoo on inside of my left elbow.
