What model Drolet did you buy? I may have some info.

think its made by sbi stove builders internationali out of canad same company makes osburn stoves

Probably the same control board as an Enerzone (Sorry Mellow) EP45. I can get you the price for a new control board. I dont know if anyone at SBI will tell you how to reprogram it. I know there is a guy in Cali who does that as a living, reworks control boards for pellet stoves. But with what he charges and the two way postage, sometimes it's just easier starting new. PM me if you want me to research it for you

Don't take this as a for sure. I just bought a DP0045, used, because the exhaust tube had come undone from exhaust fan outlet and odor and smoke was entering his house. I completly disasembled the stove to clean out all the soot,ash, etc. The combustion fan and exhaust fan both share the same motor. Combustion on left side and exhaust on right shaft. I do not think the motor speed is changed. Inlet of combustion air has adjustable gate, but exhaust not. I ran from lowest output to highest and the motor speed did not change. Auger speed did change to feed in more pellets, but i could not see,hear, or measure a speed change.

yes..why would you want to reduce the fan speed.....why? Third year for my drolet.

Robby,,,,,,,,,,,,,, thanks mine is the same it is working and runs the same as yours, I want to get the info in case I need to repair the control board, I am a Electronic Tech and try to get all the info I can, plus on other stoves my buddys have the exh: fan seems to be running the same but as u go up on the temp setting the induction fan runns faster to keep a cleannner flame, more pellets hotter flame should us more air......thanks for the info

Pete Not looking to reduce speed but spec's and info on the control board to see why the glass on the door smokes up asap after the cleanning

If you rstove is running on "low" the sooty flame will dirty up the glass pretty fast. If you are running it on med or high it shouldn't soot up. Some stoves have an "air wash" to help keep the glass clean but even those aren't fool proof.

better hope your house doesn't burn down.I suspect an insurance company would frown if they ever found out.

My St. CroiX Pepin is a pretty simple stove, too. It has a control board but only has a "heat" (feed rate) control and a rotary fan speed. And a manual pellet feed/high fan rocker switch.

Simpler is better IMHO....

I think the "cleaner burner" is a function of the operator tweaking the stove more often realizing that they control the stove. The auto-stoves relie on sensors and are preset. Tweaking one setting may affect other settings. I don't think you can isolate one function.

Dirty glass is not a function of blower speed. If you have an auto ignitor it may may be too far from the pellets. Often caused by bumping during cleaning or scraping the burn pot. It may be running the stove on too low a speed, which adjusts feed rate and air. I think a hotter burn will make a difference. Even the pellets used can affect this.

BTW, cleaning the glass, all sparkly increases the contact adhesion especially for sticky ash. Ash is always higher when the stove starts. I burn a manual stove for seven years. Good pellets and bad, softwood and hard, some are sooty and others are extra clean. Each needs a tweak on the damper and feed rate. The combustion fan is always the same, the variable for me is the opening of the feed tube manually controlled.
