sounds like liner accumulation from a season or two unloaded down the pipe and plugged it off......that, or the homeowner lets the ash bin overflow and lets free ash go everywhere....but hell, its not the owners' fault...never is.....its the damn stove, the moronic techie, or the evil satan stove dealer who never told them they had to clean it........"owners' manual?!.....pfft, I never read those things..."

I wasn't home when the service technician did his thing, but he let my wife know in a subtle way that it was a good idea that we got a service clean out. I take it that burning 5 tons/yr gets you half way toward that picture.
 
Sorry about the delay. The boss will not let me play with the computer as much as I would like, darn service calls and installs.
That is a Breckwell P-24 insert. It did fire up before I pulled the liner off and found the little "ash build-up". After a good cleaning it was good.

Thanks Eric, and welcome back.....we need your expertise on the forum, and your sense of humor! And the Pellet pigs have been missing the Vice pres. Sorry I haven't been sending you your "cut" of the Pellet pig "loot"....er, I mean dues. ;-)
