whats is everyones thaught about these pellets? in the last yr everyone has taught me more about pellets than i could have thaught.Just want some feed back on these be for i commit. thanks eveyone.

worst pellets i burnt last year. they left my stove filthy. after 1 day of burning these my stove looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. I burnt these as fast as I could so i wouldn't have to clean my stove every 12 hours. maybe i just had a bad batch(1 ton)...... who knows. Good luck!

Garbage, look for something better. Less then average heat, way above average ash. Lots of cleaning, my stove hated me for feeding them to it!!

Don't do it they are junk pellets. Call this guy at 716-474-6882 or 716-676-5242 ask for Jim, They are 279.00 a ton delivered to your door and stacked in your garage/shed whatever. 258 you pick em up.

I have been burning them this year. Only bought 20 bags then I will switch over to Somersets and Rocky Mountains.

Pros:
Penningtons that I have been burning have very few fines.

Very little ash to speek of.

Cons:
A few pellets in every bag seem to be between 1-3/4 to 2 inches long. Have burned 14 bags so far and have had 5 bridges form to not let the pellets drop.

Heat output is ok. By that I mean when after I cleaned my stove then started back up with Penningtons after a couple hours I could put my hand on places of the stove and not feel I need to move my hand away. Whereas the Somersets and Rocky Mountains I dare not touch.

I have had no problem with them this year. I get good heat with them and have not noticed any more dirt then any other pellet. Very few fines and pellet length is good.

Burned two bags this year. Liked them, would buy a ton of them.

Pennington got there crap together now... already burned 10 bags or so very little ash and no fines Cant go off people who burned em last year or 2 years ago.I would listen to who has burned them this year!!

I have burned them the last three years.. No problems burning, more fines than I would like, but I can't say that I got more or less heat than others.

I got about 4-5 gallons of ash per ton.

I thought they burned hot. Lots of gritty ash and built up quick.

Nothing wrong at all with the Penningtons. They had their probs a couple seasons ago and came through very well to replace every bit of their junk from a couple plants that were new and having problems. I burned approx. 40 bags of these last winter and was cleaner than some high priced crap I have bought... had good heat and low ash etc. I have all my supply of pellets for the season but thinking of buying 10 bags or so of Penningtons just to try out for this year.... As for the fines.... some of those fines the problems lies with the handling and not necessarily the manufacturer of the pellets themselves....

I'm on my 4th bag this season. The Harman seems to like em. The house is warm. I love the price I paid ($212/ ton at Sams).

I am burning Bayou's right now, I will try the pennies next. See the bigbox review thread. I will compare the ash and the heat anyway.

I have purchased six bags of Pennington lately, and have only burned three bags so far. I do not see the long pellets in the bags like other's have reported. I am getting no clickers with them, the ash is very light and it does not have that hard sand down in the pot or inside the stove. The only drawback I see is that don't put out as much heat as other brands, but penningtions are 20 cheaper per ton than the tractor supply store, but they sell summerset. but summerset burn a little hotter, but is it worth the other 28.00 more

these make my stove filthy. There is an excessive amount of ash, i need to clean the burn pot twice a day with these. On the upside when it is 25- 35 degrees out the keep the house nice but under 15-20 the struggle to keep up.

lousy, only pellet i burned that was worse was maine pellets (1st batch )good luck

I bought 12 bags last night at my local Wal Mart for 5.30 a bag. The stove was off, cleaned it up and loaded them up last night. Ran the stove on setting 2/5 overnight, heat output seemed good, as of this morning, glass was a bit dirty, but not a ton of ash. We'll see when I get home tonight...

Have been buying them from wally world here for $4.98 a bag, and they've been burning hot, no clinkers, little ash.

That's a good price. I would try them again at that rate. I thought they were one of the hottest burning I've tried. I just hated cleaning my stove every day. Maybe they've improved as others have.

My stove loves these pellets (from last season), east em up, fines and all. I don't have many ashes (1 and a half 5 gallon buckets last season, almost 3 toms of pellets).
