Anyone have one of these? Reviews are good. Other options?
Want one for my delivery truck. Meals out are getting expensive. Economy is putting the pinch on my budget.Wife raids my snack and lunch stash at home. Then when I make my carry lunch it's nonexistent. Want to keep lunch meats ,mayo, fruit and snacks cool and leave in truck overnite at shop plugged in 110.

I own one and it is seldom used. Reason being that the typical lunchbox cooler with a blue ice cube tossed in stays cold plenty long and doesn't need to be plugged in. The cooling mechanism burns up a lot of space and makes a cooler of normal size into a tiny cooler. There's a fan on one side that must remain unblocked as well.

Basically more hassle than it is worth when you only need a day cooler. Your overnight needs are challenging. Time for a man fridge at the shop with 110. Freeze the blue ice in the man fridge's freezer section and load your cooler.

Gotta agree with Highbeam on this one, and not cause he helped me out with my trailer issue :)
The unit is kinda large and bulky, but when you open it up to put stuff in there, there is not a whole hell of a lotta room.
Our friends have one that we go camping with, and its kinda funny as they always have to use our oldschool cooler, cause their plug in model doesn't have enough room....but, if its only one lunch for you, it might make sense.
Have a buddy that his dad used to make 5 sandwiches on Sunday night, and freeze them all...took one out each day, and by lunchtime they wre all thawed....probably not too tasty, but I am thinking a man fridge in the shop is what you need

Edit: Had to correct some spelling as the Mrs's bought home a six pack of Green Monsta Ale and I am kinda a lightweight :)

Ex girlfriend had one and it was handy for trips-

And--

you can make one yourself by getting a Peltier module and fitting it into a container:

do be aware that they pull some current- to the point that you'd want the truck plugged into a small charger at night, and not sitting for long idle periods duing the day (and/ or put a solar charger on the dash) (soon you can have Lee's rollin' renewable lunchwagen)

We have one and it works pretty well.
There isn't a lot of room in it but I do like that with the adaptor we can keep stuff in it and plug it into the socket when we get to the cabin. We just have a small propane fridge there so the extra space comes in handy. It also has a feature that you can reverse it and use it to keep stuff warm.

I have two, we only use them on long trips (8 hrs to the inlaws) to keep the babys milk cold and one or two sodas for me, they only keep 40 degrees less then the air around them so if you don't have A/C the stuff doesn't feel that cold. You also want to put cold stuff in the cooler as it doesn't cool stuff down that fast.
I gave one to my mom who is a diabetic, she loves it for her insulin and takes a wall adapter with her so she never has to worry about a fridge in her room.

We have a 12volt DC one. Love it for long trips!

Ice in a cooler also gets the job done, but this eliminates
the need for chasing ice.
