O.K. I'm admitting it. I have a problem. I know this is the first step. Today, I drove from my house in Bangor Maine to Augusta so my wife could get a spinal tap.
She tells me to go and get lunch for myself during her procedure. So I did,,,sorta. On the way I just had to pull into Rocky's Stove Shop and fill the Impala up with Cubex pellets for they are the only source for them around here. I had some explaining to do on the way home, with 18 bags sitting in the back seat. I never did get lunch. I'm hoping I can find a "Pellet Pigs Anonymous" meeting soon.

Half the battle is admitting it. The other half is feeding it.

Welcome aboard. Seems your handling the problem well!

Plus you have mighty fine taste in pellets

What does it take to be a pellet pig ? Ive been burbing since 2003, so I would think i was ahead of the real pellet craze.

Iron Stove, ask Macman, he is not only a member but he is the Pellet Pig President. He has about 100 tons of pellets ranging from sucky to OMG this is hot. LOL. ok maybe not 100 tons, but pretty darn close.

God, Grant me the serenety to accept that they are just pellets
The ability to drive by a stove shop without stopping
And the wisdom to get a life

I say the serenety prayer every time I drive past a Big Box store that has 30 some odd pallets sitting in their garden section.

OK, OK.....let's clear something up right now....I'm NOT the president of the Pellet Pigs. I am but a lowly Treasurer....(Oh, BTW, don't forget that dues went up to $60....get your checks in, or you can use PayPal....all made out to ME :cheese: ).

The Super High Exalted Grand Poobah of the pigs is none other than eernest4. Second High Grand Poobah is Eric at Kinsman.

And I do NOT have 100 tons.....well, maybe 99 1/2....no, no, no....that was a dream I had last night....sorry.

I only have 7.2 tons at the moment.

I can identify with that. I was at Lowes on Monday night wandering the garden section looking to see what brand each pallet was. When I was stopped and told that "individual bages are over here, those cannot be opened". Replied, nope just want to see what ya got........

edit: was just looking at them, they must have people tearing them open to see what is under the mystery wrap

How true, such a easy thing to do, put your name on the pallet cover. You would never see Ford or Chevy not put their name on the car.

Maybe those OTHER COMPANIES arn't proud of their product ?? :)

I am amazed that more manufactures don't put their logo on the outside of the pallet cover... Best advertizing there is .......
Yep, I agree....I've always wondered why they just put a blank cover over them. The only pellets that I've seen that have any kind of identification were Stove Chow, and the Clean Fires from Pellet Sales.

Guess it's all about the bottom line....printing costs.

No printing on the outside, BECAUSE...........(drumroll, here, please).................... "Wood pellets are all the same, ask anyone that works here".

I must say, as well, while I'm here, that my heart goes out to all you "Pellet Pigs". I've known people over the years with various addictions, and apparently you people are as bad off as they are. Get a good lawyer, you can probably get on disability, due to your addiction.

Maybe not a good analogy. If Chevrolet had kept their name OFF some of their products (Vega, LUV, Chevette, Citation, etc) maybe I wouldn't be forced to assume part ownership.

Lets see, after my AA meeting is over with at 9:00 tonight, I have 30 minutes to get over to Lowe's. I hear there was a load of pallets dropped off this morning. Wonder
what they are?

Between compressed bricks and pellets I am sitting on more fuel than I can possibly burn this season or next. My garage is full and I am storing 6 pallets at work. There is no comfort in this, apparently I need more. Thanks Macman!

Huh? Hey, what did i do???? Now i'm gettin blamed for people buying too many pellets???? Sheesh.

EDIT: storing 6 tons at work, besides the ones in your garage???? Yep, you DO have a problem!! LOL

Just trying to maintain the high standards set by the Grand Poobah!!! Searching for pellet deals and comparing notes on quality has become a hobby I enjoy.

Yep Lousy, I knew that, but since I was "talking" to BTU about it, I didn't think I needed to add that Okies are labeled....that was a "given".

Didn't know about Cubex, but like you said, everything other than the ones we've mentioned here have been blank.

Barefoot has different covers with labels for both the pellets and bricks.
