I'm sitting by the woodstove, tossing a raquetball for the golden retriever and rolling coins. Oh yeah, and pondering cat/non cat.

Anybody else living dangerously tonight?

Matt

:) I don't have to roll anything else. The wife is on the couch with the newborn (quiet at the moment... little one must be asleep) and the dog is now passed out in front of the hearth. It's pretty satisfying.

Rolled $27.50 so far.

:)

Ever notice that the new penny has Abe Lincoln reading and sitting on a log he should have been riving? The log has a glut pounded into it and a wooden maul leaning against it. There are check marks in the log.

Yes, yes. But is there a Fiskars on it?

Could be my next avatar.....

Sitting here watching the wife and daughter play connect four and trouble. Dog infront of the stove, me getting ready to goto bed so I can hunt in the morning.

Sitting in front of the fire, pondering my new status as MASTER OF FIRE. Boo yaa. That is all.

Sitting in front of the fire watching you guys talk about sitting in front of the fire. Another exciting Friday night!

Sitting in front of the computer, watching the flow of posts in to Hearth.com. :)

Cold front came in today. Heading into the 30's tonight. We've been burning a few logs at a time since last night. I just did the first full load of wood in the T6 for the season. The beast has arisen!

Warmed up here so don't have a fire tonight. Watching the Nascar truck race.

Sitting here reading this thread, wondering why I haven't already pitched it into the Ash Can. Burning both stoves right now, as I have been daily for some weeks now. We're seeing overnight lows routinely in the 20's (last night was 19F), daytime highs in the 30's - 40's. I'm already dipping into my precious stash of Oak & Madrone from time to time to spice up my normal diet of Pine/Juniper/Fir/Larch. Rick

Ditto. Sipping a little rum and coke, considering going out to the barn and sharpening some blades. Listening to the first round of the State High School football playoffs on the radio.

Sitting here in our stove room watching the wide
screen. Everburn is going great, so we are toasty
warm!

Oops, the wife just snored a bit, so it is my turn
to grab the remote control! Thinking about working
up some more rounds into splits tomorrow for the 2011
fuel supply.

I finally got round to visiting a company that had a load of old trees dumped in their lot. Turns out, after year of sitting there, they are going tomorrow. I've already taken some, will be getting up early to take what else I can.

Well, I WAS sitting here reading hearth.com whilst basking in the heat from the fireplace when hubby knocked a glass container with a unlit candle in it to the floor. CRASH! I got up and vacuumed up the glass mess, went to sit down, and stepped on a stray piece of glass - just got back from the emergency room getting glass out of my foot.

Now, my attempt to keep true to a hearth.com post: We did pick up a dozen more pallets this morning. We have more wood to split for 2010/11 so the pallets will come in handy for stacking wood.. We put tarps on two of our existing stacks today as its supposed to rain for the next 4 or 5 days; have another stack to cover yet.

Stressing here, as I have to be at work tomorow, yet have to split 2 cord of rounds by Sun. evening. And it's snowing again. Up to 12" overnight. And I have to this, and that, and this-and I need another beer.

I spent my evening troubleshooting a sick firewall. then came home to a cold house.
