I know there are some of you still out there that run one of these. No flaming neccessary as its brandy new from 1978. Can I use anthracite in this heater? Thanks in advance, Rob

Yes, you can burn anthracite in a riteway. Hitzer makes a unit thats identical, as well as the local amish around here. They burn coal well.
Up until two years ago I heated my home with a Riteway model 37. It was a great wood stove and served us well. I only burned coal in it a few times but it worked well, wood was just cheaper for me. I had it ducted into the hot air system and it heated the whole house nice and toasty. Good luck with the unit.
