I am installing my napoleon 1101 insert and the liner kit came with an adapter to go to the stove. On one end it is single wall and on the other it is double walll.

I am not sure witch direction it goes. if I put the single wall into the stove it seems to me that smoke could lead around the outside without a ton of sealant. If I put the double side on the stove I would think creasote could drip down the outside to the stove. Also if anyone has pics that would really help me.

Another problem I'm having is I cant quite get the stove back far enough to get the proper angle. I only need another 1/2 inch or so, is there any adapter for this?

Thanks

Single wall down into stove. Liner fits inside the two walls of the "double"end. Smoke shouldn't "push" out the connection as the liner should be "sucking" in the smoke. Hopefully...

Thanks that helps. do i want to put chimney cement into any of these joints or just seal them with foil back tape. Also, is the foil back tape that you find in the furnace section of Hd good for this high of temps?

Thanks

Foil tape is pretty useless when it comes to wood-heat. You can use furnace cement and a piece of gasket rope if you want an extraordinary seal.

I do have very good updraft, would I be ok not sealing it and just screwing it all together?

Thanks
