Feeling the Heat
Just hit one ton mark going to try and clean stove and stove pipe this weekend. :zip:

1.50tons here. Going to break the stove down tommorow for a complete cleaning. Buy another ton next week.

1 1/2 tons burned here too. Also did a thorough cleaning today, complete with leaf blower. Should be all set for another ton. Started to worry I wouldn't have enough to last, so picked up another ton.

Only 37 bags here so far, 17 bags that were left over from last year, and 20 bags from the 3 tons I bought for this year. Temps have been really mild here so far.

A ton or so. Are you guys pulling combustion motors on every ton?

1.5 tons here. Just cleaned my stove yesterday, pulled my exhaust blower only because it was a used stove. Based on what I saw I do not think I will need to pull the exhaust blower again until the end of the burn season unless there is good reason.

closing in on 2, trying to pin down a killer deal on a truckload of pellets for cheap I heard about at work.

This has probably been explained before, but being new to the forum, I've never heard it. Anyway, what in the name of Sam Hill do you do with a leaf blower regarding cleaning a pellet stove? All I can picture is me standing in the middle of the living room, dust and crap blowing all around me, and my wife with a frying pan ready to let loose.

Back on topic, 1.5 ton, with the expectation of 6 ton total for the heating season.

Just closing in on the 4 ton mark.........................Running 2 stoves 24-7.

duffer, they connect the intake of the leaf blower to the vent pipe on the outside of the house and suck all of the ash out of the pipe. Just be careful as to what direction you have it pointed.

Just shy of 3 tons so far. A lot higher than most people, but I provide all of my heat for the house and garage plus heat my hot water. Only thing using propane is the clothes dryer.

Used 17 bags so far since late October and heated 2600 sq ft.
1st and 2nd floors at 74 degrees with my 3800 BTU pellet stove in the basement running on low when it`s -40F .

Just kidding. The truth is I`m at 40 bags so far but I use it only as supplemental heat.

I'm afraid to count.

Heres a link to a video of the leaf blower.

Lots...the pile is shrinking fast. Cold weather came in earlier this year than last. No matter, I'd still rather run the stove than waste money on oil. My 2 cents... :)

Not keeping an active count but I think I had 55 bags on my porch
and just went and saw that there are 25 left. Mostly all burned
this month.

I mark how many bags on the calendar each refill,
I would rather keep maineacs employed with my fuel purchases.

I was having a laugh about putting that leaf blower on the top of the chimney of my Maxim and blowing about a full bucket of ashes all over the neighborhood.

33 bags Athens
26 bags Corinth
18 bags Maine Choice

Burning 24/7, except about 3 hours/weekend to clean. Primary (only) heat for the house.
