I had an engineered prefinished wood floor installed recently. It is a laminate with a vaneer of real hickory on top and then some kind of clear coating. I have a spray from the store that I can use to clean up spots here and there with a cloth but I think I need some kind of wide push mop to periodically clean the entire floor. We vacuum it weekly but after awhile I think it needs a damp wiping. Anybody use a push mop or maybe a push broom with a tshirt over it?

I have one of these..

You can use it wet or dry. The pad comes of and is washable. It works ok dry on my floors but not great wet. The finish on my floors isn't great though. Kinda rough. They say it is alright to clean these type of floors with a slightly damp mop. I think i am going to just get a sponge type mop that I can ring out the water real good. Have you seen those fancy steam mops on t.v. they clean and sanitize your wood floors!! :)

if you can buy a steam mop.....i used to use all the sprays and such, bought the steam mop and what a difference.
