I cleaned the sotve and the silly thing will not ignite..I bought a bottle of gel starter to get it going and it works swell.

So, I am assuming that the ignitor went bad...where the heck can I buy one.????? I have searched all over the web and either no one sells it (harman is no help) or I am just stupid...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance

I should add here before buying one
Make sure you clean under the burnpot where the ignitor is. Also tap the burnpot with the cleaning tool to dislodge the ash that may be covering the ignitor, and be sure the holes in the burnpot are open and there is no carbon builtup in the burnpot (scrape well)

As stated, clean inside your burnpot and make sure the combustion holes are clear.

Where is the dealer you got the stove from? Have you contacted him because it can be a warranty issue.

Eric

Thanks for the responses....I have had the stove over 2 years, so the warranty is over...ugh

All was well until I cleaned the stove thoroughly...I thought. I will re-check the burn pot again....might have missed something.

I bought some gel starter fluid and ad a heck of a time getting the stove to start...had to load the gel about 4 times until it finally took off. After I ignored the directions in the owners manual (worthless document for a $4K STOVE) I found that if I layered the gel withing several layers of pellets it finally lit....geeeee

The dealer I bought the stove from seems to know less that I do about the stove, and he is 40 miles away....the next closest dealer is 80 miles away....

Anyway, thanks for the help, and I will repost the results...thanks again.

As was mentioned, did you clean under the burnpot by loosening those 2 wingthumb screws, removing that plate, and vacuuming out underneath? Sometimes you can put your finger in there and get the ash out with your finger. If you did do that, did you maybe disconnect something? You said it worked all right before you cleaned it.

If it is an igniter and not a plugged burnpot, the igniter I believe is covered by warranty. The first 3 years of the 6 year warranty cover electronics. Check with your dealer.

Well, no luck

I actually removed the ignitor from the burn poy (2 screws), cleaned it super good and re-installed it.....still not working .

I will be contacting the dealer tomorrow to see if the silly thing is nder warranty....thanks again
