I have a tarm 502 and I see from reading in here that I need a coal baffle. Does anyone know where I can get one of these. Where I bought my unit no longer sells tarm. Does anyone have a picture of what they look like and where they go. I may be able to make them where I work. Thanks Dave

contact bioheat in Lyme, New Hampshire. They can still get parts for the old Tarms

I am on my 3rd set of coal baffles in 10 yrs. Oil burner keeps blasting a baseball sized hole on the tops. At first, I thought it was wood/coal fires, but I have only used oil on this set, and the new hole is about 2 inches.

I want to try to replace myself this time. Let me know the secret to access the baffles. The last tech that replaced them for me, removed the entire coal shaker assembly, but I am sure this was not necessary. It cost me an extra $110 for the extra hour of labor.

I think I can pop them out if I remove the oil burner plate. They are also warped, so may be stuck. I do not think any hardware holds them in? The just lean into place?

Ask me for the original manuals, if you do not have them.
Web site support looks much weaker than I had hoped for.

Best Rgds.,
