hooking pellet stove to existing boiler

A lot of lost heat seems to leave through the vent pipe...

What considerations would have to be made to put like say, a cast iron pipe through the side of the pellet stove (about where the flame is) and tap that into the existing boiler heating system so it circualtes some of the heat through the baseboard?

I've been thinkin on this some more.

To go right into the flame with the pipe would making cleaning more difficult. I'll need some type of flexible piping involved. This would also allow the ability to not heat the pipe as well.
