Did the recommended 1 ton cleaning today and all went well. Used the leaf blower and the Lint Eater Brush after giving the stove interior a thorough breakdown. I was very surprised at how little ash was in the stove when I began the process. The exhaust plenum contained less than 3/4 of an inch of light fluffy gray ash. The exhaust blower was basically clean so I did not remove it since I didn't have a replacement gasket.

The leaf blower didn't yield the dramatic 20 second blast of dark black ash that I have watched on some of the links posted here, my son was a little disappointed! I guess regular cleanings and burning good pellets does translate into less work and more heat.

We have another ton of Lignetics to burn before we try the Barefoots and the Okies. Its going to be cold this week in CT. Bring it on!

I just did mine last week not much ash in the clean out tee been burning hardwood pellets. Stove seems to run better after cleaning, on second ton hopefully won't need more. I did not use the leaf blower only the lint eater. I also cleaned the dryer vent that was really plugged up lucky it didn't catch fire.

Hey AZ...I did the dryer vent as well. Much more material in my face than from the pellet vent...I guess thats good! We'll have to see if the clothes dry any faster now that the vent is clean.
