After a long hiatus, I'm glad to be back with you guys and gals. looks like the topics are numerous and lively as ever. Lots of snow today, temps around 5 or 6. Windchill down to -15 or so. Buck is cruising along at 725, gonna try and keep it right around there all day...

Good to hear from you brooktrout...did you know the gentleman in Hamden that cut his belly open with a chainsaw? Just glad it wasn't you...cold and snowy here as well.

Geeze, hadn't heard that one, and I am surprised, since I'm on the town board here. I did know a great man named Floyd Birdsall, whose ax bounced off and hit him in the thigh last spring. He developed a deep bruise and died from it a month or so later. His was the finest seasoned wood around...

Welcome back brooktrout. That is a pretty scary story. A bruise on the noggin I could see leading to serious complications. But a bruise on the thigh is not one I would normally pay much attention to. Sounds like Floyd didn't either.
