bucks co pa
Got a delivery in Aug it was 2.28 got another 2 weeks ago 2.88 and now I hear its gone up another 30 cents to over 3.00 per gallon. Therefore to fill up my 275 gallon tank will cost $825.With this kind of weather I will be lucky if it lasts 5 weeks. Now if I burn 2 bags of pellets a day for 5 weeks @ $5 a bag that is about $350,I think i am going to buy more pellets.

I just paid 2.77 a gal........didn't even turn on the furnance......I'm getting a ton of Turmans tomorrow......

We're selling fuel oil out of our parent company right now for $2.57 per gallon. It has been going up though. Heating oil went up on the market yesterday quite a bit and crude went up as well. Market has been holding steady today.

Last year I bought 3 tons this year there seems to be no shortage so I have been buying 3 or 4 bags every 3 or 4 days no problem getting pellets at HD or Lowes

Same here Yard............But I want to get them before the pellet industry follows suit with the oil companies...

Because I am away on a business trip for two weeks, I had the oil tank filled up so the bride didn't have to worry about the pellet stove not getting cleaned. The price I paid was $2.79 a gallon. They filled the tank but only delivered 125 gallons as that was all I have used since the beginning of last Feburary. I sure hope that I don't have to fill the tank again until sometime late in the year or next year.

The oil truck pulled up to my house today... I told the guy I was using almost no oil and had gotten a new pellet stove. He asked how many months he should wait (LOL)- I guess I paid a little over 800 for 3 pallets delivered, burning a little over 1 bag daily as its still mild on the coast- oil is bad business-

Just checked on CODOil.com for my area.....they deliver to Pa, NY, NJ, Ma, & RI

*100 - 149 gallons: $2.899
150 - 199 gallons: $2.699
200 - 299 gallons: $2.699
300 - 499 gallons: $2.669
500+ gallons: $2.639

*A delivery surcharge is applicable for deliveries less than 150 gallons.

I paid $2.29 back in August for 230 gal.

EDIT: I'll probably be switching to HeatUSA in Feb. They give you a free service contract and decent prices. $25 one time fee.

There's some "Change you can believe in"

Well after installing the pepin and getting our utility bill last week I'm ALL SMILES!!!! The misses n I have natural gas (still a ripoff) with electricity, water and sewer combined in 1 bill. Last years bill to date for December=$800. This year December=$337!!!! Without having to turn on boiler, $57 gas bill!! Phew!! Wife's friend just bought an old farm house in Nov. and is filling her oil tank for the 3rd time, she called up freaking out last night. Told her I would get over there to see what her oil co. gave her for a nozzle?? Way too much being used. It's only going to get colder, and the oil companies richer. I'll stick to the guinea pig food (as my daughter calls it) and feed the beast. Just put the extension hopper on today and can't wait to fill it again..lol..

Just curious...how many bags of pellets were used during that time period, and what did you pay for them per bag?
